Do you recongise this women after a theft in West End?
Hampshire Constabulary would like to speak to her in relation to
the theft of a handbag that took place in High Street, West End, just
after 1pm on Thursday 10 August.
The victim, a 95-year-old woman, put down her handbag when she was looking at items for sale outside the The Rainbow Charity Shop.
When she went to pick up her handbag, she realised it had gone.
We have released a CCTV image of a woman we would like to speak to about this incident.
The woman is described as:
• white
• aged in her 50s
• around 5ft 7ins tall
• of medium build
• brown/grey shoulder length hair
• wore a bright pink cardigan
• carried a yellow long life shopping bag
PCSO Rachel Barry, of the Netley and Bursledon Neighbourhood Team, said: “We know that the image is grainy but we believe someone may recognise this woman by the description and the bright pink top she wore.
“The handbag contained items of sentimental value, including photos of the victim’s wedding day and of her late family.
“We would appreciate any information people may have about this incident.”
